Employer description:
Community interest organisation providing children’s services for the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

Contracted hours of work:
9.00am – 5.00pm (Mon – Fri) with 1 hour for lunch

Annual holiday entitlement:
25 days plus statutory holiday entitlement

Pay:
£210 per week for the duration of the contract with a six month pay review

Position title:
SEND Coordinator assistant apprentice                 

Job description:
Working within the Learning and Development team: 

  • Work with the Training lead to develop the eLearning offer at Achieving for Children 
  • Undertake tasks to design interactive, engaging and professional elearning modules 
  • Work with key stakeholders to create bespoke training courses 
  • Increase awareness of the offer using social media and internal communication tools 
  • Assist with identifying additional learning themes appropriate to staff 
  • Responsibility for general administrations tasks to support the maintenance of eLearning system 
  • Responsible for responding to customer queries, resolving issues with courses and improving customer satisfaction 
  • Work with Data Lead to analyse completion and financial data 
  • Contribute to reports and use data to recommend improvements in the service
  •  Undertake identified training needs appropriate to the role

Skills & Abilities required:

  1. GCSE passes in Maths and English or equivalent 
  2. Ability to problem solve and think practically 
  3. Ability to undertake tasks in line with relevant guidance 
  4. Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships 
  5. Ability to understand frameworks and policies and monitor compliance 
  6. Good IT skills and ability to learn new technology quickly 
  7. Ability to design professional-standard powerpoint presentations 
  8. Good verbal and written communication skills 
  9. Ability to treat information confidentially

 Eligibility:

  • Anyone aged 16 and over may apply for this apprenticeship
  • GCSE passes in maths and English are desirable but not essential requirements
  • Applicants must reasonably be able to travel to work within a maximum of 1 hour

Apprenticeship Information:

  • Functional Skills in Maths and English at Level 2 (if required)
  • Minimum duration: Typically 18 months
  • A minimum of 1 day per week will be allocated for training purposes
