Employer description: Housing Provider

Hours of work: 9.00 am to 5.15 pm Monday to Thursday, 5.00 pm finish on Friday, with one hour lunch break

Annual holiday entitlement: 27 days plus statutory days

Pay: £15,000 per annum

Job description: Working within the Housing development team:

  • Answering phones & responding to emails from internal & external customers
  • Liaising with contractors & customers to arrange repairs & defects appointments
  • Working with other teams to successfully resolve any customer queries
  • Arranging events & accompanying the sales manager on events
  • Arranging meetings & learning to take minutes
  • Taking responsibility for raising orders & correctly processing invoices using the bespoke database
  • Using excel to maintain the sales & development project databases
  • Supporting the team with general administration


An ability to complete a complex & demanding learning programme with external examinations is a requirement for Way2Work vacancies

Skills & abilities required:

  1. Good communication skills with clear spoken English
  2. Experience & knowledge of customer care, able to deal professionally with personal & telephone callers
  3. Accurate I.T. skills & a good knowledge of Word, Excel & the Internet
  4. Able to work flexibly within a team, asking for & giving support as needed
  5. Able to use own initiative & prioritise own workload
  6. Able to follow procedures & work to deadlines in a busy & often pressurised environment
  7. Able to understand & respect the importance of confidentiality, both within & outside the workplace
  8. Aware of health & safety & equality & diversity
  9. Able to understand the importance of being punctual & the impact absence has on team effectiveness


  • Anyone aged 16 and over may apply for this apprenticeship
  • GCSE passes in maths and English are desirable but not essential requirements
  • Applicants must reasonably be able to travel to work within a maximum of 1 hour

Apprenticeship Information:

  • Advanced Apprenticeship Framework  – Business & Administration
  • Functional Skills in maths, English and ICT at Level 2 (if required)
  • Level 3 BIIAB Diploma in Business & Administration
  • Minimum duration: 12 Months
  • A minimum of 1 day per week will be allocated for training purposes
