Hours of work: Full-time (30hrs+) 9am – 5pm generally but evening work will be required due to projects. 30 minutes for lunch.

Annual holiday entitlement: 25 days + statutory days

Pay: £210 per week

Job description:

Working directly for the Family Hub Manager:

  • Updating the service website and social media accounts
  • Support with the organisation and delivery of Family Hub projects aimed at children and young people
  • Support with the administration of Family Hub Service
  • Research new initiatives and good practice examples for working with children, families and young people e.g Knife violence
  • Responding to general enquiries from families and passing onto the appropriate Family Hub staff member

Skills & abilities required:

  1. Excellent communication skills with clear spoken English
  2. Knowledge of customer care, able to deal professionally with personal and telephone callers
  3. Accurate I.T. skills and knowledge of MS Word and Excel, and the Internet
  4. Able to work flexibly and independently within a team; asking for and giving support as needed 
  5. Able to understand and respect the importance of confidentiality, both within and outside the workplace
  6. Aware of Health and Safety and Equality and Diversity
  7. Able to understand the importance of being punctual and the impact absence has on the effectiveness of the team

Eligibility:

  • Anyone aged 16 and over may apply for this apprenticeship
  • GCSE passes in maths, English and ICT are desirable but not essential requirements
  • Applicants must reasonably be able to travel to work within a maximum of 1 hour

  • Minimum duration: Typically 18 Months
  • A minimum of 1 day per week will be allocated for training purposes
