Employer description: Professional Transport Services

Hours of work: Monday – Friday Shift work between the hours of 6.00am – 7.30pm. 37.5 hours per week, 30 minutes for lunch

Annual holiday entitlement: 28 days plus statutory holiday entitlement

Pay: £161.25 per week for the duration of the contract with a six month pay review

Job description: Working directly for the Customer Service Manager:

Customer Feedback

  • Receiving feedback from SMS, email and over the phone and adding it to our Complaints & Compliments database. 
  • Following up the feedback with customers via email or voice call

Driver Relations

  • Interviewing potential drivers
  • Overseeing and marking drivers written assessment
  • Helping drivers with applying for their DBS Certificates and PCO Licences
  • Passing on feedback to drivers via email or voice call

Lost & Found Property

  • Logging incidents of lost or  found property on our database
  • Trace relevant driver and arrange return of property

Driver/Vehicle  Records

  • Updating driver PCO Licence, driving licence, DBS Certificate,   information on driver database
  • Updating MOT’s, Tax, Insurance and PCO Licence information for vehicles
  • Dealing with parking tickets and appealing them where necessary

Credit Control/Purchase Ledger

  • Using information from our accounting software to contact customers via email or voice call to chase up outstanding invoices and updating the contact log of those customers
  • Adding invoices to our purchase ledgers using our accounting software 


  • Taking bookings from customers from emails and over the phone


  • Scanning documents and filing them in their relevant folders
  • Copying documents and filing them

Skills & abilities required:

  1. Excellent communication skills with clear spoken English
  2. Knowledge of customer care, able to deal professionally with personal and telephone callers
  3. Accurate I.T. skills and knowledge of MS Word and Excel, and the Internet
  4. Able to work flexibly and independently within a team; asking for and giving support as needed 
  5. Able to understand and respect the importance of confidentiality, both within and outside the workplace
  6. Aware of Health and Safety and Equality and Diversity
  7. Able to understand the importance of being punctual and the impact absence has on the effectiveness of the team


  • Anyone aged 16 and over may apply for this apprenticeship
  • GCSE passes in maths, English and ICT are desirable but not essential requirements
  • Applicants must reasonably be able to travel to work within a maximum of 1 hour
